Aashirwad is a unique home and hope, school and shelter for over 200 child laborers; children who have been rescued from back-breaking child-Labor in the twin-cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, and the districts of Medak and Ranga Reddy in Andhra Pradesh. These children, who have been rescued with the help of the local government  authorities were being made to work in cafes, mechanic shops, hotels, railway stations; chemical, engineering industries etc., under hazardous conditions. Aashirwad has brought these child-workers under one roof, giving them food, shelter and basic education, to develop basic abilities, skills and capabilities to live a meaningful and self-reliant life. More importantly, Aashirwad strives to provide the all-important love, care and emotional security to these unfortunate children to help them fight inequality and insecurity with strong minds and positive attitudes. Our effort is a challenge to motivate children who have lost precious years of schooling, into a new world of class room, study and discipline - a challenge Aashirwad has taken up whole-heartedly - to rescue, rehabilitate and relocate helpless child workers.

Life at Aashirwad
The main premise on which our transit education system is built, is on a motivated teacher-and-satisfied-student basis. Teachers in this program attend a special orientation session where they are given practical training . The teachers are thus fully equipped mentally and physically to undertake the challenge of reforming and reshaping these young and tender lives.

Stories, dialogue and conversation, comparative analogies from life, visuals and pictures, colors, shapes, music and documentaries, black-board and multi-media tutorials, and more, are deployed to inculcate a speedy awareness and understanding of environment and society. Joyful learning replaces study by rote, and aims at wholesome, holistic development of the child, at Aashirwad.

Classroom teaching is complemented with physical training, meditation, and indoor games to ensure the physical and mental well-being of the wards. Aashirwad has constituted a panel of Doctors, Psychiatrists, and health-care consultants to provide all-round attention to the children of Aashirwad.

Clean and hygienic conditions, good wholesome food, regular and convenient timing for studies, recreation and prayer, peaceful and disciplined environment, moral and spiritual upbringing , are some of the highlights of life at Aashirwad.
