CHORD & AIESEC

The Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (AIESEC) is the world's largest student organization. Established in the 1940s, AIESEC now maintains a global network of 50,000 members across more than 800 universities from 90 countries. AIESEC facilitates international traineeship exchanges and supporting activities that provide practical learning experiences for its trainees. AIESEC's primary goal is to contribute to the development of the countries where it works, and to promote international understanding and cooperation. AIESEC exchanges have focused on business organizations till recently. More recently, other kinds of organizations, including NGOs and inter-governmental organizations have become the focus areas and AIESEC places motivated young people in specific capacity-building projects in NGOs in developing countries.

AIESEC-CHORD Joint initiative:
Chord being a member organisation of AIESEC has initiated a joint cross-cultural development initiative promotion this year by admitting Marc Buergi from Switzerland as intern into its program. Marc will be assisting the Chord team in child care issues, program development, proposal making, networking etc,

Vital in bringing new ideas to our programs and infusing fresh energy to our mission at Hyderabad office.

A PROFILE OF MARC BUERGI :
In the age of 26 he is studying in his last year for the Master's Degree of Business Administration with the main subjects Information Management, Human Resources & Organisazion and Leisure Time & Tourism at the University of Berne. He brings along professional experience in the fields of the private sector as well as the public sector in Switzerland and has come to India for six month to gain insight into the work of the development sector. Marc is proud to contribute towards the mission of CHORD, which is giving support to the underprivileged people of the surroundings of Hyderabad.
