Education and Skill Development

Purpose: Creating Social Capital (infrastructure) for community development through education and skill development

Since its inception in 1998 CHORD has institutionally educated and empowered over 15000 disadvantaged children, Skilled 2000 young men  and has impacted tens of thousands of under-privileged children through awareness and sensitization programs

Having gained eighteen years of hands on experience in community development and having transformed lives at the grass roots Chord has envisaged CHORD-SUPER GAS Center for learning at Bollarum has been envisaged to provide remedial and formal schooling opportunity to 100 drop out and working children and job worthy skill training to 100 young men

School Education

  • To employ education as a preventive pedagogy to curb children from being exploited.
  • To empower children to have their own identity and lead a dignified life.
  • To provide opportunities to acquire bridge school, formal school education and vocational training.
  • To assist them in their holistic psychosocial development.
  • To assist them to settle down independently in society.
